The Black Star Project firmly believes that stable communities are necessary for the proper education of our children. What makes a good community? There are many things, but one aspect of a stable home and stable communities are parents who have stable, rewarding, well-paying careers.

The Black Star Project has partnered with several different trades, including the Pipefitters Union, the Electricians, and the Firefighters, to offer information about how to enter these in-demand fields.

Youth Tech (for youth ages 16-19)

The Black Star Project has provided services for youth and parents at over 200 schools in Cook County since its founding in 1996. We have an expanding variety of programs to help improve your school.

Many of our services are subsidized by corporate and foundation grants, but there are some costs associated with their operation. We will do our best to work with whatever funds you have within your budget. You can also call Ava Myles at 773.285.9600 for more information on bringing our programs to your school.
