Thank you, SC Johnson, a Family Company!

During the SC Johnson grant period, The Black Star Project (TBSP) organized an eye-opening STEM trip to the SC Johnson Headquarters in Racine, WI. This educational excursion introduced students to the fascinating world of science and exposed them to potential career paths within the field. The trip inspired curiosity and a passion for learning, encouraged our youth to pursue higher education and to explore opportunities in science-related disciplines.

In addition, TBSP hosted two back-to-school events to ease the back-to-school transition for students and their families. These events served as a platform for distributing much-needed school supplies and books to students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds. By providing essential educational materials, we aimed to alleviate the financial burden on families and ensure that every child starts the academic year wit the tools they need to succeed.

TBSP is dedicated to empowering youth, nurturing their self-esteem, and providing them with opportunities for leadership, employment, and skill-building. The Black Star Project is grateful to SC Johnson’s partnership in this effort.
