This year, we’re blending the magic of the holiday season with themes of family, community, and support for Black-owned small businesses. With your partnership, we can extend our reach to community residents, corporate leaders, and officials, raising awareness about creative ventures in Bronzeville. We’re creating a safe, welcoming space for sharing journeys, celebrating resilience, and encouraging creative expression, all while supporting local businesses and boosting the community’s economy.

Come celebrate with The Black Star Project family on Juneteenth, as the City of Chicago pays tribute to the life and legacy of our founder, Phillip Jackson. Mr. Jackson dedicated his life to public service, helping communities across Chicago and beyond.
Black Grad Coalition: Vaccination Event
Thanks to Howard Brown Health, we are offering vaccine doses to members of our community. Please come join us on Saturday, May 22 between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM at Shiloh Seventh-Day Adventist Church to receive your first dose of the Moderna vaccine. We can also schedule an appointment for you to receive your second dose. This event is free of charge, and all you need to bring is yourself! You must be 18 years of age or older to receive the vaccine. If you have any questions related to the event or vaccines in general, please email vaccineen@gmail.com or text 312-999-8799. We will also have scientists and doctors on site and available to answer any vaccine related questions you may have.
